Keighley Cougars have appointed Ryan Jackson as assistant coach, working alongside head coach Matty Bramald as the club prepares for the 2027 season.

Jackson brings coaching experience from Hunslet, where he was part of the coaching team that helped the club secure promotion, and most recently from Rochdale Hornets.

What the club said

Head Coach Matty Bramald said: "I'm really pleased to welcome Ryan to the coaching team. His experience will be valuable as we bring this group together and get to work on the training field. Having a strong coaching partnership is important, and I'm looking forward to working with Ryan to help our players develop and get the best out of the squad."

Richard Dibbin added: "Getting the right people around Matty has been an important part of our preparations, and we're delighted Ryan is coming on board. There's been plenty happening behind the scenes, and bringing Ryan into the coaching team is another positive step. We're excited to see everyone come together and start putting the work in for 2027."

The club thanked Danny Burton for his work and commitment as he departs the coaching team.
