Keighley Cougars have announced the signing of Lewis Pavier for the 2027 season. The 19-year-old joins the club following his time in Castleford Tigers' academy, having previously represented Wakefield Trinity at scholarship level and started his rugby league journey with Featherstone Lions.

Development opportunity at Cougar Park

Pavier will have the opportunity to develop under Head Coach Matty Bramald and Ryan Jackson, competing for his place alongside experienced players at the club.

Bramald said: "We're pleased to bring Lewis into the squad. He's come through some good environments at Wakefield and Castleford, and we're looking forward to working with him as he takes the next step into senior rugby. Pre-season will give him the chance to settle into the group, show us what he can do and work towards earning his place."

Richard Dibbin added: "It's great to welcome Lewis to Keighley. Giving players an opportunity to progress is an important part of what we're building, alongside retaining and recruiting the experience needed around them. Lewis has an opportunity here, and we're looking forward to supporting him and seeing how he develops in a Cougars shirt."
