Keighley Cougars have announced the signing of Marcus Green on a permanent deal for the 2027 season. The powerful front-rower returns to Cougar Park following a successful loan spell with the club.

Green previously progressed through Bradford Bulls' academy and has represented Hunslet, Midlands Hurricanes, and Sheffield Eagles in the Championship before his move to Keighley.

Bramald backs Green's return

Head Coach Matt Bramald said: "I'm really pleased to have Marcus joining us. He's a fantastic addition to the squad we're building and strengthens our options in the middle. He's already had a taste of playing at Keighley, and we're looking forward to having him with us for the season ahead. I can't wait to get cracking with Marcus and the rest of the lads in pre-season."

Dibbin confirms squad building underway

Head of Rugby Operations Richard Dibbin added: "I'm delighted we've been able to bring Marcus back to Keighley. He did a great job during his previous spell here, so securing him for next season is really positive news. He's a fantastic addition to the team Matty is putting together. There's a lot of work going on behind the scenes to build this squad, and it's exciting to see it starting to take shape."
